On February 19, 2022, the Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration (also known as "South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission", "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Arbitration Center" and "Shenzhen Arbitration Commission") announced the new Roster of Arbitrators of the Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration (SCIA). The new term of the Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration will consist of 1,549 arbitrators from 114 countries and regions around the world, including 981 from the Chinese mainland, 149 from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, 18 from the Macao Special Administrative Region of China, 17 from the Taiwan Region of China and 384 from abroad. The new Roster of Arbitrators of the Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration will come into force on February 21, 2022.

Among them, Lawyer Li Weixiang from Zhiheng Law Firm has been appointed as the new arbitrator of Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration, which is listed in the Roster of Arbitrators of Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration. The appointment period is three years from February 21, 2022 to February 20, 2025.

Founded in 1983, the Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration is the first arbitration institution in Guangdong and Hong Kong, as well as the first arbitration institution in China with a legalized and international corporate governance mechanism. Adhering to the principles of "independence, impartiality and innovation", based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and oriented towards the Belt and Road Initiative, the Shenzhen International Court of Arbitration enjoys wide credibility in the national and international arbitration circles. As the first arbitration institution in China to employ overseas arbitrators, SZCZ continues to strengthen the internationalization of its arbitrator structure. The arbitrator roster covers 77 countries and regions, basically covering all countries along the Belt and Road. There are 385 overseas arbitrators, accounting for more than 41 percent of the total, leading the country in terms of internationalization.
